After Much Anticipation,
Intuitive Innovations Releases Exciting New iPhone/iPod Touch Game
March 30, 2010 -- While it is true that there are many great children’s
apps already available in the app store, Tot Explorer (http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/tot-explorer/id363291091?mt=8)
|
is unique in many ways. From the moment the title
screen comes up, your little explorer will be submerged into a fun
filled exploration of, well, everything. With two great modes, “Learn”
and “Explore” your tot will be entertained for hours.
Best of all, Intuitive Innovations pride themselves in offering
family friendly content to their customers. They guarantee that
their apps (http://itunes.com/app/intuitiveinnovations) do not,
nor will they ever contain any age restricted or inappropriate content.
“Tot Explorer was started with the desire to create a solid,
quality app that was geared towards young learners. Every aspect
of production, from graphics to audio, has been tested with toddlers
and preschoolers. We asked them what they liked and what they didn’t,
and changed the game accordingly,” said a representative of
Intuitive Innovations.
The game is apparently intended for those times when Mom &
Dad are busy and they need something to give their high energy little
tike–preferably something that is both fun and educational.
The best part of Tot Explorer is that you can try it today for free
and see if your kids love it. If they do, buy the purchased version
for only $.99. It features a much bigger world to explore as well
as additional modes of game play. As always, Intuitive Innovations
is always improving their apps with updates incorporating the suggestions
and requests from their customers.

GOGII textPlus App
for iPad now Available on App Store
Marina del Ray, CA April 2, 2010 GOGII today announced its
textPlus App for iPad is now available from the App Store.
The app gives iPad users the ability to send and receive text
messages using WiFi. The textPlus App for iPad also
|
| allows texting conversations to transition
seamlessly between a user's iPad and another mobile device
with textPlus installed, such as an iPhone or iPod touch.
A text conversation initiated on the iPhone can be picked
up later - without disrupting the flow - on the iPad, and
vice versa.
"The ability to seamlessly access a single ongoing conversation
from multiple devices lets users text where it makes most
sense - on the bus home using their iPhone, and then later
on the couch while reading a book on their iPad. Same conversation,
different device," said Scott Lahman, CEO and Co-Founder
of GOGII, the creator of textPlus.
The textPlus App allows users to text to any text-enabled
phone in the U.S. and Canada, as well as text from app to
app anywhere in the world, for free. textPlus allows one-on-one
and group texting in a chatroom-like environment using reply-all
functionality. Multiple users participate in a conversation,
and can chime in at any point.
Like the textPlus App for iPod touch, textPlus for iPad eliminates
the need for a phone number to receive texts. By using textPlus's
permanent short code 60611, users from any phone can reach
textPlus users. All non-app users have to do is text their
friend's textPlus address (their username) to 60611, and the
conversation begins.
"We're looking at a whole new way for organizations,
personal groups and individuals to stay up to date,"
added Lahman. "Imagine being able to gossip with your
friends on the iPad while reading a breaking celeb news item
on a blog, or mulling over your next book club selection with
other members while you search reviews online."
The textPlus App for iPad is available for free from the
App Store on iPad or at www.itunes.com/appstore.
Since launching on mobile phones in June 2009, textPlus has
become one of the most popular text messaging applications
available to consumers. From the over 5.5 million downloads,
2 billion messages have already been sent, and over 15 million
users have experienced the textPlus service either through
the app or as text recipients. |

Direct Textbook Launches
New eBook Search Tool in Anticipation of the Launch of the Apple
iPad
Leading textbook resource site makes online ebook searches more
efficient for college faculty, staff and students.
|
Portland, Ore. March 25,
2010 -- The hundreds of thousands of Apple iPads that have been
pre-ordered is a clear indication of the rise in popularity of ebooks
(http://www.directtextbook.com/ebooksearch.php), and will likely
quiet skeptics who claimed the digital text revolution was nothing
more than a fad. In preparation for the official April 3 launch
of the iPad, and the summer semester, Direct Textbook is launching
a new ebook search tool on its website. The tool will facilitate
the search of multiple online bookstores for electronic versions
of college textbooks (http://www.directtextbook.com/).
"The number of students who purchase ebooks is expected to
rise sharply with the release of the Apple iPad," said Chris
Lindgren, president. "We're excited to watch how the digital
age continues to transform the educational landscape, and we're
going to great lengths to make sure that our website fully accommodates
professors, students and parents who are embracing the digital text
movement."
Direct Texbook's ebook search tool searches more than 200 online
bookstores, including eBooks.com, eCampus.com, Cengagebrain.com,
Coursesmart.com and Textbooks.com. Users can search by ISBN, author,
title or relevant keywords and within seconds have immediate access
to book descriptions, reviews and edition details. In one click,
users can save the book to their online BookList and continue searching,
or compare prices to find the most affordable option.
eBooks deliver significant list price savings, as well as savings
on shipping and handling. Additionally, they can be purchased as
an alternative to hardback and paperback editions, or in addition
to traditional formats for students who want the best of both worlds.
"The iPad and other ebook devices enhance students' educational
experience with video clips, interactive quizzes, the ability to
search the web, unparalleled portability and more," said Lindgren.
"However, some students who are still transitioning to ebooks
feel more comfortable having both the ebook and the hardback or
paperback version."
