FAC Academy's 96-Hour FAC-P/PM Training Program Offers Better, Faster, Cheaper Way to FAC-P/PM Certification

The FAC Academy is pleased to announce FAI’s highest “5 out of 5” rating for the release of its streamlined 12-day

FAC-P/PM curriculum. This program gives students seeking FAC-P/PM certification and their managers a "one-stop shop" for all their FAC-P/PM training needs.

The program’s integrated approach allows an individual to obtain all the training needed for FAC-P/PM certification in just 12 days (http://www.facacademy.com/FAC-Academy-PPM-Courses.html), rather than the 15 to 20 days (or more) required by other programs. This translates to lower tuition fees, reduced travel costs, and significantly less time away from the office than any other FAC-P/PM program available.

The unique Government-focused design of this 4-course program covers all of FAI’s mandated Competencies and Aligned Skills, without the need for a “Government Specific” course or for the optional FAI-sponsored “Capstone” course. The program is now being offered at all three certification levels: Introduction/Entry; Intermediate/Journeyman; and Senior/Expert.

ALTA , the FAC Academy’s proven, student-centered educational methodology (http://www.facacademy.com/ALTA-Learning-Experience-FAC-Pro-Assessment-Tool-Suite.html) assures maximum learning outcomes and immediate improvements in productivity and effectiveness upon the student’s return to the workplace. All FAC Academy® courses utilize detailed lecture, in-depth discussion, hands-on exercises and case studies, and interactive templates to ensure students’ rapid learning and effective application of knowledge and skills. Using FAC-Pro, the FAC Academy’s unique suite of assessment tools, students develop targeted Action Plans for individual and organizational improvements.

KCTCS Online Offers Students Access to Education--Anytime, Anyplace.

Versailles, KY March 18, 2010 -- Like most community colleges across the country, the Kentucky Community & Technical College System is the go-to place for residents seeking opportunities to enhance their skills or train for new careers. As the largest provider of

higher education and workforce training in the state, KCTCS has faced new challenges as a result of the economic downturn, including growing enrollments and increased demand for flexible learning options.

KCTCS is meeting its students' needs with KCTCS Online--an innovative partnership between the community college system and Pearson, a global leader in education, technology and services. Using Pearson's digital content and courses, KCTCS Online is a fully customizable, affordable and simple online alternative to in-person classes, allowing students to work at their own pace to prepare for high-demand careers in information technology, business administration and nursing.

"Pearson is a strong partner with a clear understanding of what we need," said Sandy Cook, System Director for Distance Learning Technologies at KCTCS. "Through this partnership, we are able to serve working adults who need shorter timeframes for getting their education. Pearson has been with us from the beginning. They understand this learning model and continue to help us by delivering engaging content to our course developers."

KCTCS Online courses are separated into bite-size classes, or modules, with each section focusing on a specific skill that takes only three to eight weeks to complete--giving students an easy, inexpensive way to upgrade their skills quickly. Students begin a new module whenever they're ready--offering an on-demand educational experience--unlike at other online colleges with fixed course schedules.

KCTCS Online students earn credit from each module that they can apply toward courses and degree programs at any of the 16 KCTCS colleges. Students also earn credit for prior knowledge--if they test out of a module, they receive full credit. In addition, tuition at KCTCS Online is the lowest in Kentucky at $125 per credit hour, with individual modules costing as little as $60 to $90 each.

KCTCS Online courses are enhanced with Pearson's digital assets, including CourseConnect customizable courses and the MyLabs online homework and tutorial programs, which are customized into specific chapters for each module, so students only buy the course materials they need for a particular section.

"Pearson's partnership with KCTCS offers students a unique opportunity to develop their job skills and build their knowledge base to prepare for better careers and ultimately improve their lives," said Don Kilburn, CEO of Pearson Learning Solutions. "KCTCS Online is a flexible, affordable solution for Kentucky residents in search of educational opportunities that fit into their work and family responsibilities."
